Laughter

Tonight right after dinner Megan asked 4 boys to help her wash her clothes for tomorrow. This might sound bad and like we are using the boys. But, they ask us ALL the time if they can help wash for us. After they were finished, who knows how it started but they started to make different laughing noses. Funniest thing ever. So Megan and I decided to join and add into the fun. It was SO great we just laughed and laughed and laughed about laughing. I love these boys. They make me so very happy.

Tony

Tony is my FAVORITE boy EVER! I can never get enough of him.
Today I saw him walking by me as I was sitting down chatting with my Kenyan Momma and I whispered to Momma, 'HEY thats my FAVORITE boy.'
Then she asked him 'Tony who is your mom?'
and he looked at her and said 'Kaleigh.' I could have cried I was so happy.

KILLER

This week I went to a town called Gatundu. My ex-boyfriend Ben lives there. This kid is like the best thing ever. I really like him, as a FRIEND. He teaches dancing and baseball at the local schools and orphanages. We left our house at 8:30am and went to Thika to catch a matatu to Gatundu. Before we got on our matatu we went to our favorite store in town to get yogurt and water, then we were on our way!
Once we got to Gatundu Ben meet us at the stage and off we went to the field they play baseball at. The children that he usually plays with had school exams, so we got to play with some street children. They were SO cute.
When they would make a home run they would jump on to base and jump off. It was SO cute.
Megan was the pitcher and not very good.

After we played baseball we went to an art studio thing and Ben and his boys sang for us and we sang girls camp songs for them while waiting for someone to meet up with us, but, never ended up coming so off we went to the river. You know just a little walk down the road NOT. I have honestly NEVER been on a walk like this. But before we went, we had visit Ben's grandfather he was so nice and only had one tooth.

After climbing the mountain.
See that hill in the back..well it looks flat but it is NOT. At ALL!!!!!! It is the toughest thing I have ever had to walk and that is saying a lot. I have climbed Half Dome before. But, once we got done climbing that mother of a wowzer we walked threw a banana tree jungle. Saw some kids swimming and walked over a Pipe to get to the other side of the river to go to the water falls.
Some of the boys that were swimming

Walking across the bridge

This water fall totally reminded me of one that we went to in New Zealand. I have never wanted to jump into a river so badly before. But I knew it was not safe or a good idea.
Ben our tour guide. He is so kenyan. I love being with him! Once we were done here we walked back to the matatu stop so we could come home. It was a really good day. I would go visit again but there is not enough time this trip.

Love is in the air

I love these boys so much. Just saying that I love them doesn't feel like enough.
This morning I saw one of the boys out the window and I yelled PHOBIAN, HABARI? (which means how are you) and he yelled POA! (which means good) While I finished getting dressed and I hear KALEIGH!!! at the front door. SO I walk to it and it is Phobian and he just runs to me and gives me the biggest hug EVER. How can you not fall in love when something like that happens? Plus he has a lisp which adds to the love factor.
Phobian is the one on the right
