Truth or dare

The last night in Kenya. It was SO nice not having to go all the way back to Thika. We could stay out as late as we wanted and had 4 boys there to be with us the whole time so we were safe once it got dark. After getting back from the giraffe center we took Gabby, Dan, Oscar and Brian to the store and let them pick out a treat for that night's pizza party. After we got pizza and the good we headed back to where we were going to stay for the night. Once we were all done eating we played a nice round of TRUTH OR DARE. Oh my goodness it was so so great.
Brian was dared to eat a whole pack of sour gum. Brian HATES sour. It was SO hilarious.
Oscar licked Megan's forehead.
Gabby was dared to write his name with his butt in the air.
Megan was dared to sing a song. She asked me to help her. (we sang about a whale in Maori)
Dan give Brian a lap dance.
Gabby and I slow danced for 3 minutes. Hes the best dancer.
Oscar was dared to do a flip on the trampoline.
Dan had to...I do not even know it was just so funny.

After a couple of more dares we headed inside and talked and talked and laughed till we got yelled at for being loud. It was a REALLY good last night. I would not change a thing.

Thinking

Yesterday I was driving to pick up my friend. It was a long drive. I had time to think. We all know what I was thinking about. AFRICA. Yup that is right. I was thinking about everything I LOVED. All the times that the Kenyans probably thought I was a CRAZY muzungu. (lets be honest when did they not think that I was crazy) Here is what I thought of, in a random, crazy, no time line at all order.
Dancing and singing with Megan on Sunday mornings to flag down our matatu.
That one CRAZY bus ride from Roysambu to Mwiki. Megan and I could NOT stop laughing.
Saying good night to the boys and the older boys actually wanting hugs.
When a frog and HUGE bug were in our house during the first rain, and the process of getting them out.
Wearing mustaches in the dinning and crying so hard from laughing because Megan's mustache was crocked.
Waiting for a matatu in the POURING rain on the side of the road.
Getting 15 loaves of bread and 7 bags of crisps.

WATER FIGHT

For sure one of my favorite things that we did in Kenya. We only did it twice. Megan said that we might get in trouble if we did it more. Who knows what would have happened with the manager we had.

We were SOAKED. I could have froze off walking back to my house. The boys laughs and screams were the best. I love them.

James

James' mom found him. I do not think I have ever seen him SO happy before. He was suppose to go home. She never showed up to get him. He has a special place in my heart. I do not think I will ever see him again. (his Grandmother is going to take him now) He has the BIGGEST lips I have EVER seen. I love to torturer(tickle) him.
After a tickle attack, laying on a tree branch that one of the boys brought over.
Thanks to Geiga for giving me a hug while tickling James
The after math, he would take a picture with me (kind of)

PE

PE, Saturdays and Sundays are my favorite days with the boys. By February Saturdays were days filled with cooking for the elders and institute. So by the time we got home there was no sun left in the day to play with the  boys. Then on Sundays after church we would play play play with the boys, but then our ward got split and we started church at 1. There for leaving no time with the boys either. So PE it was. I loved getting so so dirty playing with the boys in the dirt. (later remembering that I have to hand wash all my clothes...oh well) I loved taking pictures of the boys playing football. I just love being around the boys. I would always find myself sitting next to Dan Sammy and helping him make a bracelet. It was just so great.
Papa sleeping in the swing before it was his turn to play football
Peter Jimmy, this picture is SO him. I can hear his cute little laugh when I look at this picture.
Lucky, Collins, and Peter playing on the playground during PE
After Benson made a goal
Coolest thing ever. HUGE dust thing came ripping threw the Field while we were playing Football, all the boys went screaming away from it.
Biggie Harrison this boy is like a little cat sometimes. I do not know how to explain it. He is just always there.
Balua this boy would ask and ask and ask if I could take pictures of him, so he would come up with stupid things, like dancing with his shoe just so I would take a picture. I love him. He has the biggest head EVER. He is so so so funny
Simon (red hat) is a BOSSSSSSS at football. That boy is just wicked good. I think he is one of the nicest boys I have EVER meet. He is nice ALL the time.
Megan's baby. Opondo. He is also BOSS at football.
Jack attack. He is confused. One second he needs to be an adult because that is what is expected out of him. Then the next second he is told he is just a little boy. He has a good heart.
Badi, I miss him a LOT. Just look at him he is SO funny.
Kevin, he is just such a good boy.
Egging the boys on to go faster and kill Megan. muahahaha

Love is in the air

I went to a wedding.
Lets just say I am so grateful for temple weddings. This one was in like half English half Swahili. It was like church but just longer and you know sense Megan and I were the only white people there we could not sleep, but the food was SO good.

A Dream

The best dreams always come to an end right? Well mine lasted for 104 days. Here is something I did for all of those days.
These are my boys. They are my babies. I love them more then anything. It was my job to see them smile every day I was there. I lived a life that now feels like a dream, it was the best EVER.

TWIGA

My favorite animal EVER. They are so amazing and beautiful. The day before we left we finally made it to the Giraffe center to check them out. I was in love. I could have just stayed there for hours just looking at them, but you know that we got there 15 minutes before closing so we did not get a lot of time with them. Still giraffe is the BEST animal ever!!!

Back

My back has been hurting me a lot theses last couple of days. It hurt once in Kenya like this, but never thought of it again, till now. These last 4 days have been KILLER. I am good in the morning, good all day till about 5 pm. Then the pain starts on the right side of my back. I feel like I cannot do anything. I cannot sit with out it hurting. I cannot stand with out it hurting. I cannot even try to sleep it off. In fact if I am sleeping it will wake me up out of a dead sleep that is how bad it is. It hurts so bad some times I feel like I need to throw up. It is just not the best thing ever. So today I finally went to go see the Chiropractor. Today was appointment one out of probably 107347693. Just kidding but for reals. After 2 hours, he told me I need to stand up straighter, and that I have subluxations. What ever that means. (okay I know exactly what it means) But, no big deal I will be okay. Just give it time. I do not think I have ever been so excited to put my clothes back on after an examination.
